Project Goal
The goal of the ads was to try and bring people who were in the Dallas, Texas, airport to the City of Kirkland and surrounding areas. Our target audience was businessmen and women booking flights to the area. We wanted to show them activities or locations they could visit in the Kirkland area that would get them to book that ticket.
The reason Dallas, Texas was chosen was because, after analysis from our data team, it showed that the majority of flights to Texas were from those coming out of Dallas, Texas.
Project Timeline: 1 Month
Deliverables:
Digital ads at a variety of set sizes for various applications
Printed Ads for the Austin, Texas Airport
Landing page graphics for the Explore Kirkland Air port
Social Media Post
I started with creating the social media ads in a 1 x 1 ratio. The reason for this was that this ratio would then be easiest applied to all the other layouts once approved by the team. After this layout was approved after a few rounds with the team, it only took me one day to create the rest of the sizes, and a couple days to get them approved by the team.
All Ads
Sizes
1200 x 1200
1200 x 628
900 x 1600
All of the ad sizes used had to have a few things in common.
The focal point of the image needed to overlap with the search bar element, where possible. This was to help create a sense of depth within the ad
All images used needed to showcase places or activities that were local to Kirkland or the Seattle area
Any Photos chosen needed to work across all ad sizes with little adjustment. This is because later on in the future, additional sizes may need to be created.
1600 x 900
Website Landing Page
The ads were also used on the Explore City of Kriland Landing page. For this application, the photo and search bar would switch out like a slide sho,w dynamically showing each of the different activities.
