Project Goal

I was responsible for coming up with, writing and creating social media posts for the official Amtral Cascades Instagram and Facebook. I would research possible topics, write out full captions with Call to actions and hashtags to ensure post optimization.

Social Calendar

Each month’s posts would be laid out on Monday and Friday, and every post was categorized by what kind of post it was. I provided a variety of posts with the main goal of increasing Amtrak Cascades’ ridership and awareness each month.

Social Posts

While in charge of the Social media, another goal I had was to incorporate more video content. I knew that authentic video content would help to increase reach and engagement on the posts. While at D2 I was able to create three video-centered posts, two of which became the most viewed and liked posts in Amtrak Cascades social media history.

Monthly Email

Every month I was responsible for creating the monthly email that went out to 10,000 plus subscribers. I researched, wrote and laid out each months email. Each month had a feature hero article about something Amtrak Cascades was putting together whether it was a sale or weekend trip idea. Each of the four sub topics needed to relate to that main hero article in some way.
